OWP // OCEAN WASTE PLASTIC
WHO WE ARE
Pack Tech has developed, designed and supplied innovative packaging since 1946. Our headquarter is located in Denmark and we work with factories in China, India and Denmark. We have local offices in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy, England, China, USA and Australia.
Since 2013 we have been working with Ocean Waste Plastic in an effort to influence the world market to use packaging that supports the environment.
Since 2013 we have been working with the concept of taking plastic from the oceans as a result of the OWP packaging sold. Finding our way to manufacture packaging in recycled material and as a result hereof removing plastic from the oceans has been long and difficult, and there were times where we almost gave up. Today most companies can work with recycled plastic, but just a few years ago this was something not seen before in the beauty industry. In 2017 we finally had a break through – and now we proudly clean the oceans by supplying customers with packaging made in OWP – Ocean Waste Plastic.
See how the concept of saving our planet for 1.000 tons of plastic in 2018 became a reality.
Our vision is to be a part of a sustainable solution to clean the world’s oceans and at the same time prevent new plastic from floating into the oceans.
Our mission is to create awareness about the issue of plastic waste in our oceans. We want to change both the mindset of our industry and the behavior of consumers so that virgin materials is replaced with PCR-materials that ensure the same amount of plastic being removed from the ocean.
We are industry leaders
In early 2017 the private equity firm, Blue Equity approached us and wanted to be part of our adventure to save the planet. Blue Equity enabled us to upscale our processes and be the front leader when it comes to removing plastic from the oceans as a result of selling packaging made in OWP.
Sourcing & Verification
We source recycled plastic (OWP) and convert it into beautiful, new packaging designs. We test and analyze all the plastic we receive and use, so that our customers can be sure of its origin and composition.
We constantly try to find new ways to achieve a more sustainable future for the environment and the packaging industry. OWP (Ocean Waste Plastic) is one of them.
