Reduce up to 73% of your carbon dioxide emissions with OWP recycled plastic compared to virgin plastic
When moving into OWP you are not only cleaning oceans and rivers from plastic, you are actively minimizing the need for virgin plastic. By using recycled plastic (the raw material of OWP is conventional PCR material with the benefit that it removes plastic from ocean/rivers 1:1), you minimize the usage of fuel production and consumption, which normally account for the majority of carbon dioxide emissions when producing virgin plastic. This can result in at least a 50% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, and as the highest 73% less carbon dioxide emission when using recycled plastic instead of virgin.

Energy
Recycled plastic requires a lot less energy under production than virgin plastic, which can result in less CO2 emissions. A study show that using a ton of PET plastic containers made of recycled plastic saves around 5.774 kilowatt-hours.1
